I pass through some part of Grand Central on most days, so I thought it a good idea to try out my new tripod there this morning. These are all 15–30 second exposures on my Nikon D200 with a Nikkor 24mm f/2 AIS.

My first post from my iPhone, I feel like talking about what’s coming up on this site.
The first thing is reviews. I have a bunch of equipment I’d like to go through. Most of the lenses, if not all, have been reviewed by Bjørn Rørslett, or Ken Rockwell, and while Bjørn’s reviews tend to be spot on, and Ken provides more technical info on the lenses than I’ll bother to, neither provide much, if anything, in terms of sample imagery.
Planned Reviews
Tokina 11–16mm f/2.8
Nikon 24mm f/2 AI-S
Nikon 35mm f/2 AI-S
Nikkor-S 50mm f/1.4 non-AI
Nikon 85mm f/1.4 AI-S
Nikkor-Q·C 135mm f/2.8 non-ai
Nikon 300mm f/4.5 AI-S ED-IF
Reflex-Nikkor C 500mm f/8

In addition I’d like to gather all the images I post here into a gallery that can be filtered easily by camera and lens to compliment the reviews, but that is probably quite a way off.
Shots from the last week or so of coworkers hard at work. Hopefully they don’t mind me putting these here.

I decided to take the 60 block walk to work this morning, and take a few photos along the way. We’ve had few breaks in rain so far in June here in NYC, so it was good to get out a bit.

A random aside on this last photo, I didn’t realize until a couple years ago that the word rickshaw came from the Japanese “jinrikisha” (人力車)as “rickshaw” doesn’t sound at all Japanese to me.

I don’t know if anyone’s ever tried using the search bar that’s been on the top of the site since it launched, but It’s never done anything until yesterday when I finally got around to making that thing work
